Type M is a non-proprietary temporary concrete barrier developed by the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility. It has been successfully crash-tested in accordance with NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 3. Connections consist of 32mm diameter A36 steel pins placed through three steel loops at each end of the barrier. Type M is suitable for applications where barrier is to be restrained, such as adjacent to open excavations or on bridge decks.
