St Marys CemPlus is a supplementary cementing material, which is produced by finely grinding granulated blast furnace slag, a glassy non-ferrous co-generated product from the iron production process. When CemPlus is used to replace a portion of Portland Cement, a number of benefits are measured including higher compressive and flexural strengths, reduced permeability, increased resistance to sulphate attack just to name a few. Available in Ontario sourced from Algoma (Sault Ste Marie) and Stelco Lake Erie (Nanticoke).
